Project Manager – UAV Systems

Aerial IQ India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Project Manager to lead execution of UAV development and manufacturing projects.
The role is responsible for coordinating Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Testing, and Customer Support teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
The candidate will manage project plans, schedules, milestones, resources, risks, budgets, stakeholder communication, and leadership updates. This is a hands-on execution role that requires strong follow-up, structured reporting, and the ability to identify bottlenecks before they affect delivery.
The Project Manager will also ensure that engineering deliverables move smoothly into manufacturing and that production readiness, testing, documentation, and customer delivery commitments are properly tracked.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of UAV development and manufacturing projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.Achieve monthly sales objectives
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and risk registers.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Testing, and Customer Support to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and drive timely resolution through effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Manage customer and internal stakeholder communications by providing regular status updates, progress reports, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure engineering deliverables transition smoothly into manufacturing while supporting production readiness and delivery commitments.
- Drive adherence to project management best practices, documentation standards, and continuous process improvements.
- Track project KPIs, budgets, and resource utilization, and present periodic reviews to leadership.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence across project teams.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, MOMs, action trackers, risk logs, issue logs, delivery schedules, test status, and closure reports.
- Support leadership with clear visibility on timelines, dependencies, delays, cost impact, and critical decision points.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in project management, project coordination, engineering operations, manufacturing execution, or product development.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, testing, and customer support.
- Strong ability to create and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risk registers, action trackers, and management reports.
- Good understanding of manufacturing project flow, production readiness, BOMs, procurement dependencies, testing cycles, and delivery commitments.
- Strong follow-up ability with ownership of timelines, closure, escalation, and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and dependencies at the same time.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, ERP, or project management tools.
- Strong communication skills for internal reviews, customer updates, leadership reporting, and cross-team coordination.
- Ability to work from office, workshop, vendor locations, and field sites as required.
Nice to have
- Experience in UAV, aerospace, defence, electronics, robotics, automotive, or precision manufacturing projects.
- Experience using Odoo, ERP, MRP, Jira, MS Project, Monday.com, Zoho Projects, or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of UAV systems, tether stations, payloads, batteries, motors, electronics, mechanical assemblies, and field deployment requirements.
- Experience with customer demonstrations, field trials, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, production builds, or technical deliveries.
- Knowledge of project KPIs, budget tracking, resource utilization, risk management, and leadership dashboards.
- Exposure to quality documentation, test reports, inspection checklists, NCRs, RCA, and corrective action tracking.
- PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working with defence, police, government, or enterprise customers will be an advantage.
