Aerial IQ designs and manufactures tethered UAV surveillance systems for defence and law-enforcement deployments.
We are hiring a Intern Quality Engineer to inspect electronic parts, cable harnesses, batteries, and payloads against drawings, test procedures, and IPC standards — across UAV production and new product development.
You will run incoming-material and supplier checks, test and troubleshoot batteries and payloads, raise and track non-conformances, and keep test procedures and quality records current.
The role suits someone precise, hands-on, and early in their career, ready to learn quality discipline on a live production floor.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts and cable harnesses to drawings and IPC standards
- Plan inspections, validate parts for new product development
- Run incoming-material and supplier quality checks
- Test batteries (Li-Po, polymer, solid-state): health, voltage, load
- Test and troubleshoot payloads write procedures and reports
- Maintain NC trackers, test procedures, QC records &other related documents
- Raise MR / MRR, close work orders, prepare scrap notes
Must Have
- Diploma in Engineering — Electrical / EEE / E&TC / Mechanical, or equivalent
- Ability to work from office / workshop / field location as required
- 0–2 years in electronics, UAV, or aerospace inspection and test
- Measurement and inspection: Vernier callipers, gauges, multimeter
- Reading drawings, test procedures, and IPC standards
- Battery and payload testing
- NCR documentation; 5-Whys and 7 QC tools (basics)
Nice to have
- 8D, PFMEA, Poka-Yoke, 5S exposure (will train)
- ISO 9001 / AS9100 documentation exposure
- UAV battery (Li-Po / Li-ion) handling and storage controls
- Strong analytical skills
