 Aerial IQ India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Procurement Manager to manage sourcing and procurement for UAV manufacturing.

The role is suitable for candidates with 2–3 years of procurement experience in manufacturing, with exposure to mechanical, electrical, electronic, aerospace, UAV, robotics, automotive, or defence supply chains preferred.

The Procurement Manager will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Stores, and Finance to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and services required for production and customer project execution.

The role requires strong vendor management, purchase planning, inventory coordination, negotiation, documentation discipline, and the ability to control cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement of mechanical, electronic, and electrical components required for UAV manufacturing.
  • Manage procurement planning and inventory coordination to ensure smooth material availability during production.
  • Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable suppliers for components, materials, tools, and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, and commercial conditions with vendors.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials in line with production schedules, project timelines, and customer delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for new component sourcing, alternate part identification, technical clarifications, and supplier qualification.
  • Monitor vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and documentation compliance.
  • Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, and Finance for purchase orders, goods receipt, inspection, billing, and payment processing.
  • Maintain purchase orders, vendor records, contracts, quotations, comparison sheets, procurement files, and ERP records.
  • Identify procurement risks, resolve supply chain issues, and avoid production delays caused by material shortages.
  • Support cost reduction, supplier development, process improvement, and procurement discipline across the company.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in sourcing mechanical, electrical, electronic, or production-related components.
  • Strong vendor management and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing supply chains, BOMs, lead times, purchase planning, and inventory coordination.
  • Ability to work with Engineering, Production, Stores, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel for procurement tracking, vendor comparison, cost sheets, and reporting.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or procurement management systems.
  • Strong documentation discipline for purchase orders, quotations, approvals, vendor records, and contracts.
  • Good communication, follow-up, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in UAV, aerospace, defence, electronics, robotics, automotive, or precision manufacturing.
  • Understanding of electronic components, mechanical parts, fabricated items, batteries, motors, connectors, cables, sensors, tools, and production consumables.
  • Experience handling urgent procurement for production, testing, repair, or customer project execution.
  • Ability to identify alternate vendors and substitute components without affecting production timelines.
  • Knowledge of supplier qualification, quality documentation, inspection coordination, and vendor performance tracking.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, and component datasheets.
  • Exposure to cost optimisation, supplier development, and procurement process improvement.
  • Ability to handle local market sourcing as well as structured vendor procurement.
